Karuna Care – Karuna is a word used in Hinduism and Buddhism and is translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish suffering of others – or “Compassionate Action”.
There is a lot to enjoy about being a volunteer and the PURPOSE for Amaranth is:
- To provide opportunities for members of our community to relieve hardship and increase compassion and acts of kindness in our community.
Amaranth has commenced and is enhancing and developing our comprehensive volunteering program in areas such as:
- Corporate Volunteering
- Food Bowl Volunteering
- Supportive Care
- Amaranth administrative and fund raising volunteering.
Amaranth will provide or coordinate training for all volunteers. This training will vary according to the complexity of the volunteering being provided.
