We love working with Chris Pidd at Amaranth.
Chris is currently working with Amaranth participants and community members in Calm the Farm sessions at Amaranth HQ with their emotional regulation through music, movement and meditation. As a Karuna Care Clinician (a unique in-home and community based palliative care service) and passionate muso, Chris’ vibrant and warm nature provides a really welcoming and fun space for those Chris works with.
Chris has a fabulous resume and has spent time with LivingWorks Education, where he proudly taught suicide first aid and suicide awareness to over 1200 NSW school and police teams as part of the NSW governments towards Zero Suicide prevention initiative.
Prior to this Chris was traveling up and down the Snowy Valley Council LG area as part of Amaranth Foundations Bush Fire Recovery team, running emotional regulation workshops in primary schools and, suicide awareness workshops in the community.
Chris has many strings to his bow with a background including teaching folk and bush dancing, singing and juggling. He plays guitar and ukulele and will break out in song at the drop of a hat. Using all of these skills Chris will be running a range of individual and group sessions to assist our participants to reach their life goals.
In his spare time Chris can be seen on and off stage in both professional and community theatre with upcoming shows including the family outdoor show “The Lizard of Oz” at the Albury Botanic Gardens and Carpe Diem, a show focusing on men’s mental health at the Darebin RSL Club.
Chris is looking forward to working with everyone at Amaranth through some incredible workshops, using his various skills to support and nurture those who attend.
Listen to Warren (Wazza) one of our amazing participants rocking it out with fellow muso Chris.
